Coastal Trail

Overview

This is one of the longer treks out of the Rodeo Valley. The trail is mostly easy going for the first half with views into the valley and back towards the ocean. The grade increases as the trail ventures east over Slacker Hill.

At the junction with the Slacker Ridge Trail, near the top, the Coastal Trail becomes singletrack. Though it is a steep climb, be sure to take the Slacker Ridge Trail, which provides access to iconic vistas of the San Francisco Bay entrance and the Golden Gate.

The trail descends towards the SCA Trail, which continues north towards Sausalito. Staying on the Coastal Trail, continue as it bends to the south toward Vista Point and the Golden Gate Bridge.
