Travel up the Ridge Lakes Trail to experience gorgeous wildflowers, dense coniferous forests, and pristine alpine lakes.

Starting from the Sulphur Works Parking Area, the trail begins a steady ascent through fern and wildflower-laden forest to reach glimpses of this area's hydrothermal activity in action at nearby Sulphur Works. Continuing upward, the trail navigates a drainage before cresting its climb in an open basin nestled between Mount Diller and Brokeoff Mountain. From here, enjoy pleasant views of the lakes and an up-close look at Lassen's characteristic volcanic-alpine environment while you break out your sandwich and revel in your accomplishment.

When you've had your fill of the view and are ready to head back, simply follow the trail back the way you came.
