This trail connects the Armstrong Creek area to the Austin Creek area to the north. It starts out following a tiny creek that runs for most of the winter and spring, but quickly climbs to the ridge above. It's sometimes quite steep but passes through dense forest of bay laurel and Douglas fir, so it remains cool. <br><br>At a saddle, you have the option of taking the Pool Ridge Connector back down to the valley floor, or continuing on Austin Creek area to the north. The trail passes through some open area with wide views of the surrounding hills. From the end, you could connect to the East Ridge Trail to make a big loop back to the start.
