The eastern portion of this trail is shared with Kernan Road, which is a fire road. From there on it's all singletrack up to Los Pinos Road (another large unpaved road).<br><br>The intersection is well marked, and the trail resumes downhill, in the shadow of Corte Madera Mountain. This peak is a big granite block used by climbers, and it provides great views.<br><br>Most of the trail is characterized by dense brush alongside it, keeping it well shaded. Some of the uphill sections are a bit challenging. Those brief segments are limited though, and the trail overall proves to be great fun without being too tiring.
