This short trail connects the West Ridge Trail to the American River Trail. The trail begins at the kiosk on Cronan Ranch Road and starts with the "up" portion. As you ascend this mostly gentle incline, keep an eye open for a splendid view of the Cronan Ranch valley near the top of the climb. Then it's over the top you go for a steep descent!<br><br>This trail is a multi-use trail that is shared with horses and mountain bikers, so keep an eye out, even though you have the right of way.
