Overview

The Wooley Creek Trail gradually climbs into the deepest area of the Marble Mountain Wilderness and connects with every major area of the Wilderness. The trail is singletrack dirt and gravel and follows above Wooley Creek.

Starting from FSR 93, the trail climbs gradually, but steadily for about six miles before coming to a junction with the Black Mountain Trail. The next 10-14 miles don't present too many steep sections, but you'll be climbing steadily so don't underestimate the distance.

Around mile 20, the trail turns north, and starts the steepest section of climbing up to a junction with the Haypress Trail. This last section is the most challenging.
