Upper Old Mine Trail

Overview

The Upper Old Mine Trail starts at the parking area at the junction of Pantolll Road and Ridgecrest Blvd. Head downhill through expansive grassy meadows. Near the top, a short detour to Forbes Bench is always welcome. Distant views of San Francisco, the ocean and the bay are splayed out all around you. Enter a denser grove of trees and switchback more steeply down until reaching the Panoramic Highway. The Upper Old Mine Trail ends here near the busy Pantoll Campground, trailhead, and parking area.
