This trail is easy to follow and is a great way to get from the John Muir Trail (JMT) and the Cathedral Fork Trail up to Clouds Rest Trail. There are some water crossings that were low in September but could have been more challenging in the spring. There are many switchbacks and the footing was packed dirt without many obstacles. The upper section trees are all burnt out so there is not a lot of shade, but there are opportunities to sit down and rest on the side of the trail.

This is the early part of the lower section of the trail. There are some water crossings.
