This is a singletrack trail most often used by horse packers. The trail is quite faint and can be difficult to locate on the Baker Creek side but gets better around High Meadows before descending to Logging Flat and Glacier Lodge. The trail can be quite brushy so long pants are recommended.
Icicles remain along Big Pine Creek well into summer.
Lodgepole pines and sage line the North Fork Big Pine Creek Trail.
Kid Mountain (~11,860 ft) is beautiful when viewed from near the Baker Creek Trail junction.
Kid Mountain (~11,860 ft) stands across the valley as the trail ascends to the Baker Creek Trail junction.
