The White Gate Trail starts from the intersection with Estero trail, near the Lower Estero Dam. The wide sandy trail passes through lush, marshy grasses, thickets of brush and scattered wildflowers. Check out the greens, browns and reds of water plants and algae in the estuary's shallows. The trail ends at the junction with Muddy (please do not tresspass further north on the Home Ranch roads). Note: bikes are allowed on the White Gate Trail.
