Campbell Cutoff Trail #5543

Overview

Like the Campbell Lake Trail #5541, this trail connects the Shackleford Trail #5542 with the area around Campbell Lake. It leaves the #5542 about 2.8 miles from the trailhead and is a steeper, rockier, but more direct trail to the lake. For that reason, it appears to be favored by horse packers who come to the area to hunt and fish. For hikers and backpackers, it offers a way to make a lollipop loop out of a visit to Campbell Lake.
