"Head up trail along Vallombrosa till the freeway underpass, turn right on pavement path, then left on a small park road. Single track runs between road and the creek, weekends can have a lot of foot traffic, early week days are best. At Manzanita you can take a short pavement path to the Five Mile and head to Upper Park if it is not closed after a rain"
