Mammoth Rock Trail

Overview

The trail starts off of Sherwin Creek Road (a gravel road) there is parking here, but it's also rideable from town. The trailhead starts at 7856ft elevation and begins in a sandy sagebrush area. About a half mile into the initial climb you'll finally hit the treeline. From here, the terrain is really nice with some beautiful vistas.<br><br>After a mile into Mammoth Trail, you'll be on a semi-technical bench-cut trail. After 2.5 miles the trail pops out at Old Mammoth road.
