Starting from the north on Sir Francis Drake, you'll see an obvious parking pullout with a cattle trap that you'll have to huff your bike up and over. Start with a mellow climb that winds up and onto the ridge. Keep on following this as it varies between single and doubletrack.

You'll encounter a fork where Jewell trail breaks off to your left (and heads back down to Sir Francis Drake), stay right and keep climbing. You'll hit a few more cattle gates before seeing Randall Trail that branches off to the right. The main trail enters the trees and becomes soft and flowy, although you may encounter some branches or downed logs.

Within a few miles you'll see the McCurdy trail that also branches off to the right, continue straight and you'll come to the end at Ridgecrest Boulevard.
