The Grinder is a great connector between the TRT and Forest Road 16N74. It is most fun downhill due to some technical rocky sections (and the climb up the TRT is easier).

Grinder winds through open meadows before crossing through a rocky section. Really fun!

The upper intersection on the TRT is marked only by a lone post on the trail next to a large old growth incense cedar.

This trail was rerouted by USFS/CCC crews in approximately 2013 from an unsustainable creekside social trail into a great flowing singletrack that meets modern erosion controls. The USFS/CCC was rad enough to include a couple of optional burly rock features as well.

Note on the name. Not really sure if this trail has an official name, but there was a green hand painted sign on it for years reading, "The Grinder."
Thanks Forest Service for an awesome reroute!
