A steady, sometimes challenging climb for the first 1.3 miles (from 150' to 1000'). The climb moderates as you hit the top of the ridgeline. At 2 miles, you'll find a singletrack trail off to the right for a hike into Blackstone Canyon or a singletrack to the left leading down to Lucas Valley. At 2.4 miles, the Chicken Shack Fire Road heads off to the right, ending at Alameda del Prada Park in Novato.<br><br>This trail can be combined with Big Rock Ridge Fire Road and Big Rock Trail for a great eight mile hike (park one car on the top of Big Rock and another at the bottom of Queenstone Lane and shuttle).
