Mountain View

Overview

Often confused with the Mountain View Trail that is a public/free trail, just across the road from this trail's terminus - this a Mammoth Mountain Bike Park trail that shares the same name. It's very easy to connect both together, but this describes/maps only the bike park trail.

It starts at an intersection with Beach Cruiser, and is a great alternative that reconnects with Beach Cruiser after a mile - or you can ride the remaining 0.2 miles to Hwy 203 and connect with San Joaquin Ridge Trail, Starkweather Trail if it's open, or the above mentioned public Mountain View Trail.

This is also part of the Mammoth Lakes Big Friggin Loop.

Aptly named, it offers up some fantastic views of the Minarets and other neighboring mountains if you take a moment to look to the west. It's hard to stop because it's such a fast and squiggly piece of singletrack - but it's worth a glance! It's technically one-way, and most ride it properly, but always beware of oncoming traffic.
