Railroad Grade Trail #18E15

Overview

If you are starting from the south end of the Powerline Road (FSR #12N08), look for an opening in the split rail fence right at the base of the steep section under the power lines. The first section is rather straight following the old railroad bed. Then the trail veers off and rolls through the trees around some corners and gets pretty fun for an easy ride. The last 0.5 miles has two tiny wood drainage crossings that are a little narrow for novice riders. Nothing sketchy, just slightly challenging for some little ones. The toughest part is a 20 foot rise up onto Columbine Street.
