Cedar Flat Trail connects the Tahoe Rim Trail - Brockway Summit to Tahoe City to Forest Road 16N49 and the Cedar Flat neighborhood.

This is one of the newer and lesser used trails in Tahoe City. It was constructed by USFS/CCC crews with a couple TAMBA volunteer days. This trail was specifically constructed with bike friendly features including a couple tabletops, some natural jumps, some bermed corners, a HUGE log ride, and some low speed natural rock sections. Props to USFS for including fun features for bikes.

The top of the trail splits right off the TRT just below the Mt. Watson descent. The trail starts as a road-to-trail conversion then becomes tight singletrack. If you are coming off the TRT, expect a 100-yard hike-a-bike section, not a big deal and the descent is worth it.

The view from the top of the trail is pretty awesome. Big rock, cool cliffs, and a big lake view.
View for the top. Big rock, big views.
