From the Cherry Gap/Converse Basin marker on the 180, after you've gone through the small section of King's Canyon National park, travel east and around a gate to the right when the road splits. Stay to the right (13S77) here, then left at the 'T' after a few miles. After this split, you'll understand the difficult designation for this trail. There are a few steep -20%+ sections that can be dusty enough to hide any obstacles. That said, you'll also get some great views looking east & down to Hume Lake. You might even hear the campers below.

It's a steep, quarter moon ridge looking down. After a few more miles you'll hit a clearing and see Hwy 180 again on your left. Turn here almost 180 degrees and start climbing the return stretch Forest Rd 13S48 (aka Indian Basin) back to your starting point.

Wrapping up the Park Ridge loop can be tough after everything before it.
The Park Ridge loop is tough, but the views are amazing.
