This ride is the perfect trail for beginners and families alike, or for riders seeking a mellow way down to the village. The trail is machine built doubletrack within the Northstar Bike Park. Rated as a green, you'll enjoy a smooth riding surface with rollers, berms and small jumps, specifically dsigned with the beginner in mind. Not as highly trafficked as some of Northstar's other trails makes Easy Rider a great place to learn without worrying about being in someones way.

From the top of the Gondola, follow the signs for Easy Rider, the trail starts on the paved path adjacent to the gondola building. The pavement will take you over a ski bridge and then down a few swithcbacks. At the end of the paved path, take an immediate left onto Easy Rider. Continuing down the bermed turns and crossing the creek, the trail will follow the gondola line with some fun rollers.

Soon, the trail will dive into the woods, and turn into true doubletrack. This is where you'll start to see more machine built berms and small jumps/rollers. These may look intimidating at first, start small and ride within your ability and you'll have a great time.

The trail ends near the bottom of the Highlands Gondola(no bikes) and you'll have to follow the pavement for a short way to get back into the village. Use caution, this trail exits through one of the parking lots, lookout for cars and people. At the intersection of Currant Dr.(the parking lot road) and Northstar Dr., take a right onto Northstar Dr. and head up to the Auto Drop, not to be confused with were the busses drop off. This will add a 10sec pedal, yet will save you from having to push your bike up stairs in the village. Follow the signs for the gondola and hop on for another ride.
