Eastern Route

Overview

To either ascend or descend from Taylor Mountain Summit, take the Eastern Route's wide, rocky, often steep doubletrack path straight on up or down. <br><br>From the Kawana entrance, this trail starts from the eastern edge of the water towers with a latched gate. Follow this uphill as it rolls across a few benches and then heads straight up the hillside (with no real option for shade along the way). You'll see a more tempting hiking trail traversing its way across on either side, but it's marked as off limits for bikes so stick to the grind!
