From the parking area (right side of the road) as you approach the ride from Auburn, head up the singletrack for about .5 miles to a T intersection (marked, go Right) continue up for about 4.5 miles following well marked trail signs. It's mostly uphill but with many short downhill sections for a rest (and fun). Focus on the trail - the views can distract you.

At about mile 4 you'll reach the summit on the south Side of Foresthill Rd. From there's it's a long descent to a fire road with another 3/4 mile descent to singletrack again. The singletrack will loop and bring you back to fire road just to cross a parking area on Drivers Flat Rd. Singletrack is visible on far side of the parking area. Head up 1/2 mile of singletrack to cross Foresthill Rd (Upper parking area for this ride is visible as you enter the road).

The north Side of Foresthill Rd. is mostly downhill (but still rolling with some uphill), beautiful covered trail with banked S-turns for 5 miles! At mile 8 you'll cross a fire-road (Upper Clementine Rd). Directly across the road, the singletrack continues onto the "Grove".

A Y in the trail (trail is indicated as left fork) gives you the option to continue down on Clementine Connector Trail to another set of trails. Take the left fork and it will bring you back to Foresthill Rd. Cross road head up 25 yards and you'll see singletrack heading south.

Singletrack brings you back to your first T intersection. Turn Right continue for another .5 miles and your back to parking area.
A wonderful foggy day exploring the trails near Foresthill.
View from Foresthill Divide Loop.
Enjoying the singletrack. Excellent XC trail to get back in riding shape. Ridden in the spring when the trails were no too dry and temps were not too high. 3.22.14
