This ride starts with the classic Foresthill Divide trail some stiff climbing mixed with just enough short downhill sections. Crossing Foresthill Road trail continues with more downhill than up on this side until the trail splits and joins up with the Connector Trail. Fast rolling downhill rocky in sections leads to some short sections of uphill before crossing Lower Clementine Rd.

After a short break start up the Fire Break Trail. Short fire road climb leads to Culvert Trail and the beginning of a long downhill section. Racetrack through the jumps and berms down culvert through the tunnel and across Old Foresthill Rd. Continue your descent to the start of The Confluence Trail.

Fast and wide trail soon narrows to nice narrow fast singletrack along the river. Trail continues to drop as your speed increases and the trail becomes narrow exposed and rocky still high above the American River. Continue this fun run all the way down until your almost level with the river and you once again reach the Old Foresthill Rd. Cross the road and Clementine Climb is directly in front of you.

Begin a gradual ascent of the fire road until it narrows to slightly rocky singletrack before once again opening up to fire road width. Climbing begins to increase and at the 0.5-mile marker you reach Lower Clementine Rd. Head right and uphill on this paved road for 1.4 miles until you reach the Fire Break Trail trailhead on your right and the Connector Trail on your left.

Head left dropping down on the Connector Trail for about 2 miles of mostly flat to downhill riding before you reach the bridge crossing and the long climb up and out back to Foresthill Divide trail. Take the right fork climbing short distance before a short and quick descent back to Foresthill Rd. Cross the road angling slightly left and you'll see the trail pick up again next to a pine. Follow the trail around with a short climb before the fast 0.5-mile descent back to the parking area. Great Ride!
