This ride starts right from the parking area and entrance road. Mac's Trail continues uphill for about half a mile (moderate climbing). Leveling out you'll begin a fast descent through scattered pines to Hoberg's Loop Trail. Begin another shallow climb to Boggs Ridge Trail. Continue along rolling singletrack through the pines and some rocks along the ridgeline.

From here, there are great views of the valley. After a shallow climb you'll reach Karen's Trail, a short connector. At this point, the trail is a segment of downward fire road leading to Scout Trail. After moving back to singletrack, you have a nice fast run, narrow in sections with some banked corners and lots of fun riding.

After crossing a fire road, pick up Berry's Trail. At this point, you'll continue on more level singletrack but still able to keep good speed as you're moving along the shallow ridge. Next, you'll connect to Crew Trail which features more of the same fun singletrack. Crew Trail dumps you out on a fire road where you'll turn left.

Follow the road for a short segment just past an intersecting fire road to John's Trail. John's Trail is more fun and narrow singletrack that is relatively flat along a steep ridge. Eventually, it takes you back to another fire road. Turn right on this road and head up it until you reach the High Point Trail. Climb up a ridge line along High Point trail to an intersection for Boggs Peak Trail.

A little more climbing takes you to the ridge and an open pine scattered meadow. This is a great place to stop and rest before the REAL FUN begins. The downhill side of Boggs Peak Trail ends on another fire road that you'll follow downhill until you see a large rock marking the entrance to Gail's Trail on the right side of the road.

Gail's trail has it all! It is mostly downhill, extremely tight, fast and generally awesome singletrack. Expect switchbacks, narrow sections through pines, rocky areas, smooth areas and some small sections of technical uphill and down
