Start at the Forest Service Office or at the campground. Stop inside the Forest Service Office and talk to the front desk for more information. Right before the campground, turn right onto singletrack trails that are clearly marked. Circle a loop and then go over a wooded board walk to gain access to a Forest Service road that you'll climb up to get to the top of Smith Peak. There's a lookout tower at the top of the peak that's off limits to non-government personnel, but you can still get great views of the surrounding area. From there, you can choose many different Forest Service roads to continue your ride, or go back the way you came for a quick ride.
