Bailout Trail is one of the original trails in the Alsea Falls area.<br><br>The name is appropriate because the trail starts on your right after a steep fire road climb. The trail starts out with a low gradient as it follows the ridge-line down. After a couple of rooty sections, the gradient gradually increases and you'll find yourself ripping through a canopy of oaks and firs.<br><br>There is work being done on the lower section of the trail, it changes from fast ridge-line descent to open and bermed switchbacks.<br><br>I always need to ride this trail when I'm in Alsea, it's a great way to start the downhill trails!
