Valley of the Giants Road

Overview

The Valley of the Giants is a 51-acre grove of old growth forest managed by the BLM. The huge trees (largely Douglas Fir and Western Hemlock) are often over 200' tall and many are several hundred years old.

The route begins at the confluence of the South Fork and North Fork of the Siletz River. The gravel road follows the North Fork and climbs moderately almost seven miles becoming steeper as you approach the end. Once you reach the Valley, there is a 1.3-mile hiking trail through the old growth forest, see the trail on Hiking Project.

The beginning of this route intersects the Siletz River Road route.
