Lower Storm King

Overview

This one begins at a parking area off a paved forest road and climbs at a fairly steady rate to the west. There are a few parallel paths at the beginning, and some decent jumps if descending the trail in reverse. The trail starts in the ponderosa pine as a wide and easy ride but gets a little more technical as it climbs. Near the top, the trail gets a bit narrower and the scrub brush increases before it descends to a 4-way intersection with Upper Storm King. From this point, you have several options to extend the ride, or even make a loop.
