Independent Mine Trail

Overview

The longer route to the summit of Lookout Mt. starts out of the upper parking area to the east, climbs to a scenic view, descends to cross Brush Creek, then climbs again to reach the summit of Lookout Mt. There, you'll encounter the site of an old FS lookout. All that is left at this site is a small rock wall.
