The Cook's Meadow Trail in the National Forest Road 44 system climbs from the top of the Surveyor's Ridge Trail for seven miles to end on FSR #4420. About halfway through the trail, you'll have a short descent down to Lookout Mountain Road. From there, you could take the road if you wanted, but look ahead about 20 feet and you'll see the singletrack continuing.

The upper portion is a relatively young trail, so the tread is still pretty soft (so go ride it in!) Both sections are pretty twisty, so the grades never get too out of control. From the top, take FSR #4420 to get to the Fifteen Mile Trail #456 or to descend Lookout Mountain Trail #450 to get to Knebal Springs Trail #474

Riding in June or July, you might get to see some pretty nice wildflowers.
