Starting at Kinzel Lake Road, the Veda Lake trail climbs steadily and steeply up a drainage. Afterwards, the route traverses left towards a ridge to the west. There are great views of Mt Hood to the north.<br><br>As the route starts its descent, gradual at first, it turns from the west and heads back to the north. As the downhill gets steeper, you'll encounter a few switchbacks before dropping off a ridge, down towards the lake.<br><br>Veda Lake is a great place to spend the day with plenty of opportunities for swimming, picnics and fishing.
