Fisherman Road

Overview

From Succor Creek Rd., you'll be gradually climbing almost due west for about 1.5 miles. Now that you are warmed up, things can get more interesting as you enter the hills and wind your way up another 1.7 miles to a fork in the road. Both roads are Fisherman (old and new), but take the old road to the left and follow it up the canyon 2.3 miles and rejoin "New Fisherman Rd".

Continue to climb 0.8 miles to a fork, stay right and push the last 0.3 miles to the plateau and another fork. Make a hard left and check your brakes! It is going to start dropping now.

Enjoy 4.6 miles of well-earned coasting with your first view of Owyhee Reservoir as to make your second wide turn to the right. This old road eventually dumps you down into Birch Creek and spills out onto Owyhee Lake Rd. just a 0.2 miles from Owyhee Campgrounds.
