Don't let the name scare you. The actual Dread and Terror Ridge is to the south of the trail and was named in reference to fighting fire. <br><br>This section, also known as Trail #1414.09, is the most famous section of the trail for mountain biking. Expect to experience a great many water features, even in August, like hanging gardens, waterfalls like Surprise and Columnar Falls and Lemolo Falls, and even rocky streams that follow the trail. Also be prepared for sections of loose narrow trail with extreme exposure, so stay on your toes.
