Overview
This trail begins off Skyline Blvd on Saltzman Road. It begins relatively open, lining a ridge filled with firs, and the track is a double length road. There is a gate which blocks motorized traffic. <br><br>The trail starts as a fast downhill trail/road mix, becoming a somewhat rutted, washed out road until the Wildwood (bikes aren't allowed on Wildwood) intersection. Below there it becomes singletrack with quick turns among trees and roots before it drops you out at Leif Erikson Drive. Take a right at the bottom and then your next available right to pedal up old Saltzman back to the start. <br><br>Overall, a fun, short downhill ride with a longer ascent to the beginning. I first rode this as a novice and had no trouble but had to take many portions very slowly. Because it's about the only 1/3 mile of trail in the park open to bikes it tends to show rutting from heavy use. <br><br>A fun little climb if you like a little more challenge.
