The trail begins at Lake Sno-Park/Trailhead and crosses US Hwy 26, paralleling the Pacific Crest Trail to the west. The trail then turns southwest and heads uphill through old growth hemlock and Douglas fir timber on smooth and relatively level tread. \n\nCross over USFS Road 2660-220 and head southwest to the high point of the route at 4,600, near the edge of a clearcut. From here, continue south, crossing another USFS road before heading downhill to Clear Lake.
