Overview
The Mt. Ashland Fire Road begins at the aki area parking lot adjacent to the lodge. The first mile and a half is fast, smooth, and makees for a great warm-up for all the other trails on the lower portion of the mountain. <br><br>As you ride past the lodge the road gets steeper and a little narrower. Challenge yourself and try not to use your brakes.<br><br>The next section is narrower, steeper, and rockier than the previous section. It gradually traverses across the slope, exposing riders to beautiful forest and valley views. <br><br>The fire road section ends once you approach the Bull Gap trailhead parking lot. You can either continue on the fire road or ride Bull Gap.
