Aubrey Mountain #3554

Overview

The Aubrey Mountain Trail starts with a gradual pedal through an idyllic forest on a narrow ribbon of singletrack. At half-a-mile, the trail descends down to a grassy meadow for another short climb. A long descent heads through a few short rises (keep right) to reach several tightly packed switchbacks.

Once you're through these, the trail turns to the southwest and launches down a reclaimed roadbed on smooth singletrack. You'll gather loads of speed on this non-technical section, but just hold on through the many drainage depressions you'll blast through. The speed can be fun, but there's not too much bike work to do. The trail will continue to turn down various road sections with a singletrack overlay. Encroaching blackberries can make for some painful encounters as riders rocket down the trail to end on the bottom of Heckletooth
