Crazy Ivan breaks down into three distinct stages:

Stage One (Upper Crazy Ivan): Winding singletrack lures you in with the promise of easy to moderate riding. Soon some cross-country antics traverse back and forth across the bluff line for a hearty pedal.

Stage Two (Middle Crazy Ivan): Check your brakes because Crazy Ivan turns sinister after the pump track when it dives down a steep skid trail. There's abundant sliding and little actual stopping as you descend across a steep and exposed slope composed of sandy soil.

Stage Three (Lower Crazy Ivan): Make the very brief road climb to the left, then pin it for a fast descent. This final stage ratchets up the fun with a heavy seasoning of roots and jumps of various sizes. Crazy Ivan concludes at Snoqualmie Valley Trail about a quarter mile from the nearest parking area. This stage can also be accessed by following the Tokul 100 - West road to the end.
