Meadowlark Trail

Overview

The Meadowlark Loop Trail is the mainstay of Bennington Lake and one of many trails in this trail system. Trails here weave in and out of the main loop trail, sometimes returning, sometimes leading to the nearby Rooks Park or the Diversion Dam.

All of the trails in this area could be ridden in less than two hours by mountain bike. If you explore off the main loop a little, there are a couple hills that are fun, but nothing resembling technical riding or even drops. There are also maintenance access roads all around that can be used, but are not accessible by car.

This land is managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District. Bennington Lake stores water for flood risk management in Walla Walla, and provides recreation for locals and visitors.

These trails are used by many for running, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding, so please be respectful.
