The moss blanketed forest provide a beautiful and peaceful surrounding as riders float by. The trail has minimal technical challenges but does have plenty of steep side-slopes and exposure. A few short and punchy climbs ensure riders still get their fitness in.

The trail is most often ridden downhill as part of the Lower Dungeness and Gold Creek Loop or as part of a shuttle via the free parking area at the Tubal Cain Trailhead.

At roughly 3.75 miles keep left at the junction. Near the end of the ride there is a small log bridge crossing Gold Creek before the trail transfers onto a decommissioned road on the way back to the trailhead.
