The full length of the Upper Ridge Trail is accessed by a short hike-a-bike out of the parking lot. The extra work is reward by a new extension of trail from the top of the mountain to the first bend in Cleator Road you can also ride down the road to this same spot.<br><br>Whichever entrance you choose, you're in for a treat. Upper Ridge Trail provides a well stocked playground with burst of speed followed by slow technical work. Along the way you'll dodge roots and roll down sandstone slabs. <br><br>Although the trail can be narrow, there's generally plenty of room for wide bars. Although one notable slab-ride to tree pinch doesn't feel particularly spacious. The trail does requires a lot of focus, but make sure to also enjoy the scenery as you scramble through the trees and over moss covered rocks.<br><br>Keep an eye out for a trail splitting to the left. This signifies the end of Upper Ridge Trail and it's a good detour to avoid the hike-a-bike climbing on the Middle Ridge Trail.
