The beginning of Westside Road is just beyond the Nisqually Entrance in the southwest corner of the park. The first three miles of the road are open to motor vehicles as well as bicycles. There is a small parking area at the end of this three-mile section and many mountain bikers choose to leave their cars at this point. This trail is also open to foot traffic, so be courteous. There are challenging climbs and many spectacular views along this stretch to Klapatche Point. Bikes are not allowed on hiking trails in the National Park.
