The entrance to Huff-N-Puff starts with a small root-lunge before the classic singletrack begins to climb away from the kiosk next to Rooty. <br><br>A steady grade and only the occasional root obstacle makes this an agreeable workout rather than a technical challenge as the trail winds up and around the hillside. Near the top, the grade backs off and the remainder is an even smoother pedal through the ferns and trees to reach the intersection with the Service Road. <br><br>Keep an eye out for a mossy log-ride as you go. A few old tire tracks imply that someone still attempts this dubious optional feature. On the way down, Huff-N-Puff is an easy-going descent over the occasional small root-rolls. The sightlines are pretty good, and it's easy to pick up some speed as you go. Just be prepared to yield to uphill traffic along this popular trail.
