South Bay Trail

Overview

Better know as the stomping ground for runners and hikers, the South Bay Trail also provides a casual urban trail for riders who don't mind lots of bipedal company. You'll see signs for the trail starting at the corner of Railroad Avenue and E. Chestnut Street, but the wide path more recognizably begins near the cul-de-sac on E. Laurel Street.

From there, the gradual grades and easy gravel path take visitors along the edge of the bay towards Boulevard Park and beyond to Fairhaven Village Green. Probably the best known and most picturesque section is a 0.25-mile pier that travels over the bay near the edge of Boulevard Park.
