Sometimes riding an out-and-back is frustrating for riders who are used to loops. This alternate trail on the west side of the Conservation Area provides a chance to feel like you're experiencing a different trail and not doing an absolute out-and-back. It moves into the woods and away from the wetland, cutting almost due west before it borders on private property and drops to the south again.

As with the rest of the Conservation Area, there is very little elevation gain/loss and a fairly straightforward, albeit rocky trail tread. However, there are two slightly confusing trail junctions with social trails moving off in directions not "sanctioned" by the County. Stick close to the MTB Project mobile app at these intersections and you'll be fine.
