This route details Trail 25 (West), one of four segments forming Trail 25 a 25 mile loop around the perimeter of Riverside State Park. \n\nA grueling tour de force in its entirety, Trail 25 leads visitors on a circuitous route. It travels in and out of forests and meadows, along hills and down bluffs, across riverbeds and through tracts of sand. Fortunately, there are many access points each segment was created with entrance and exit points in mind.\n\nTrail 25 (West) is a bit bipolar. The last half is a reasonably pleasant single/doubletrack ride through the woods. The first half is quite the opposite including a traverse through an ORV park where you'll need to be on the lookout for vehicles. Followed by a loathsome trudge through deep sand beds if you go this route plan to spend roughly a mile of sand wading.\n\nTo recap, this ride would be for those looking for a new aerobic challenge or those wanting to ride the full Trail 25 route. This ride is not a family friendly ride or one you should bring your new-to-biking significant other.
